Aberdeen legend Willie Miller has shut down Brendan Rodgers over his feeling that Celtic should have left the sides top of the table showdown with a win.

It leaves the pair level on points with the Hoops narrowly holding on to top spot on goal difference - but Miller was quick to point out that things could have gone very differently at Celtic Park. Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Rodgers felt that his side deserved to take the three points after letting a two-goal lead slip in Glasgow's east end.

But the forward would be penalised for handball and the effort chalked off by the team at Clydesdale House - a flashpoint Miller was quick to point out that Rodgers skipper over. Asked if he agreed with the Celtic boss that the hosts should have sealed the victory, Dons' icon Miller said: "They created a number of opportunities, but Aberdeen had that goal chopped off.
