Celtic injury latest on Alistair Johnston and Marco Tilio as Brendan Rodgers talks 'tough' Aberdeen test
Alistair Johnston is back on the grass in a major boost to Celtic as Brendan Rodgers offered an injury state of play on his squad.
Top scorer and key man Kyogo Furuhashi also got off the mark for the new campaign with Matt O'Riley also firing home for the champions. They've got the luxury of no Champions League qualifiers this season - unlike rivals Rangers - and are just playing one game a week at the moment with a trip to Aberdeen this weekend in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
"Alistair Johnston is back on the grass running and working and upping his intensity, which is really good news. Marco Tilio is out on the grass as well and moving well, so that will be great and we expect him to be back in the middle of September. On facing Aberdeen, he continued: “My experience of being up in the past was that Derek had his team really organised and very competitive. They were always challenging games and the results we had against them were very good.
