Brett Sutton is resigning as Victoria's chief health officer four year's after leading the state's COVID-19 pandemic response.
Professor Sutton will leave the Department of Health to take up the role of Director of Health and Biosecurity at CSIRO.
Appointed as Chief Health Officer in 2019, Mr Sutton became the face of the state government's response to the COVID pandemic. He joined the Department of Health in 2011, providing critical health information and advice on a wide variety of issues and emergencies for more than a decade.
