DOMINIC RAAB, the UK’s new Foreign Secretary, wants to avoid former Prime Minister Theresa May’s mistakes on Brexit, get Britain ready for no deal and show Brussels’ a “no more weakness” attitude.
Mr Raab said: “The EU must know we’re serious.” The former Brexit secretary, who resigned in protest at Mrs May’s compromise with the EU, is back as Foreign Secretary and new Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s deputy and is hell-bent on securing a deal to his taste. While reaching an agreement is a “joint responsibility” of the EU and Britain, he says it will be “their choice if we’ve left on World Trade Organisation terms” on October 31.
