WINSTON CHURCHILL would be celebrating Boris Johnson's EU withdrawal today if still alive, as despite what the bloc says, the former Conservative prime minister did not want Britain confined in a ‘United States of Europe', unearthed reports claim.

After three and a half years of political wrangling and almost half a century of subservience, Britain is finally leaving the EU today. A countdown clock will be projected onto Downing Street and at 11pm, the hour Britain officially leaves the bloc, the street will host a special light display.
