The Brandeis boys soccer team finished second in District 28-6A with a 12-4-4 record.

Brandeis boys soccer coach Brain Maher had a plan. He would retire and spend more time with his disabled son when he believed he had coached a team worthy of a state title. In the 2014-15 season, Maher coached the Broncos to the Class 6A region final, but he believes his current team is more talented. This season, the Broncos finished the regular season second in their district and have only lost one game in the last two months. And whenever their playoff run is over, Maher is going to retire.

When the team started 1-2-1, the captains helped reign in some players who didn’t represent the Broncos culture. The three captains implemented some rules, such as players having to do push-ups if they showed up late or didn’t bring enough intensity to practice. Also, Maher has rules that when players do not represent Bronco culture in the best way, the whole team has to run sprints. The early season culture change helped the Broncos finish the last two months of the regular season 8-1-2.
