You name your guy, choose a face for him , and then you get into the meat. Your starting class determines your starting stats, and your starting stats determine your starting abilities. For instance, I decided to be a Witchdoctor because it was the least comprehensible thing on the menu. That made me very good at bandaging people and learning new spells, less hot at exterminating my foes with extreme prejudice.
Alas, I was good at learning spells, but didn't actually know any, and my proficiency for bandaging was, if anything, counterproductive when it comes to killing people. I met a near-instant end come nightfall, when armed men poured across the hills and into the brewery.
