Troubled Broncos star Ezra Mam has been charged after he crashed his Ford Ranger utility into an Uber in Brisbane on October 18. Mam allegedly returned a positive result for a roadside drug test at the time, and he was detained for further blood testing which was conducted independently at a hospital. It will now be alleged the secondary test returned a positive result on Tuesday, November 12.
“We will respect the legal process and will continue to work with the NRL Integrity Unit on next steps, as this matter moves forward,” Donaghy said in a statement. “Ezra is currently seeking external support and we will give him the time and space to do so. “As the matter is now before the courts, we are unable to make further comment on this matter.” Just days after the crash, Mam’s management released a statement saying the 21-year-old would ‘immediately’ get professional treatment.
