An explosive ordnance disposal team was deployed to assist police following the discovery in a Bristol suburb.
A man has been charged with making an explosive substance after the discovery of weapons at a house in Bristol forced neighbours to evacuate their homes.
Police have also charged Daniel Magee, of Shetland Road in Southmead, Bristol, with possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, gas, or electrical incapacitation device. The 38-year-old has also been charged with possessing a knife/blade in a public place and importing prohibited weapons/ammunition with intent to evade a restriction.
Magee will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday over the four alleged offences as officers continue to search the propertySomerset and Avon Police thanked residents"for their support, patience and understanding over the past two days", with an explosive ordnance disposal team having been deployed to assist.
