Jamie Ward, 41, from St George, targeted student properties to steal high-value goods.
Jamie Ward, 41, from St George in Bristol, broke into two homes on the same night to steal jewellery, a games console and a laptop on 20 May.
DI Danielle Underwood said: "Ward was arrested within 48 hours of these offences and it was clear he had targeted properties where students were likely to be living." "There is free crime prevention advice on our website that we would encourage people to follow to help make their property secure."
