A BRIT climber has become the tenth person to die on the Mount Everest after falling ill in the "death zone".AFP or licensorsA climber has become the tenth person to die on Everest this season due to overcrowding to the summit

He had been descending down the 8,850m peak in the so-called "death zone", which is known for having low levels of oxygen. Murari Sharma, of Everest Parivar Treks company - which arranged his logistics - said: "He died because of weakness after a long ascent and difficult descent.Guides changed Robin's oxygen bottle and offered him water but sadly he couldn't be saved.The climber is the tenth person to die on Everest this season - with most suffering weakness, exhaustion and delays on the crowded route to the summit.
