John has been living in Spain for more than six years and now has a huge social media following, with people keen to hear about his experiences and advice on moving abroad
After all, the UK's gloomy skies, soaring living costs and mounting issues prompt some to consider a fresh start elsewhere. Six years back, one man took that leap.
Yet, for those yearning for a sun-drenched existence, he offers a crucial tip. John believes there's just one essential requirement for successfully relocating overseas, as it lays the groundwork for everything else. "Everything else just takes care of itself, at least for me anyway. I mean obviously I used to holiday here, so I had an idea that if I lived here on a permanent basis, and I could afford to do that, then I'd spend my free time doing what I did while I was on holiday. Why would I not be happy? That's something to think about."
Clearly, his approach is paying off, as he now dedicates his days to producing content amidst balmy weather and stunning backdrops. Perhaps there's a secret to turning your getaway into a permanent retreat after all.
