The unnamed 58-year-old was pulled out of the sea by two people said to include a nurse who performed CPR on him after he went into cardiac arrest while they waited for emergency responders to arrive.
The emergency responders continued to try to revive him after reaching the scene, near the Punta de Teno lighthouse at the northwestern tip of Tenerife, but there was nothing they could do to save him.Sources said at the time the 19-month-old child’s mum was at the property with three of the youngster’s siblings at the time.
Puerto Pollensa, which in the local Majorcan language is known as Port de Pollenca, is one of the favourite destinations on the island for British holidaymakers.
