A BRITISH woman has tragically died after being brutally attacked by a pit bull she took in.
The 67-year-old succumbed to her injuries after picking up the abandoned pup from a field near Valencia.The woman had kept the pup for a few days before it viciously attacked her. At about 2pm on Friday, authorities were called to the scene after hearing her screams as she was attacked. The Civil Guard said: "So that the emergency services could help the woman, the regulatory firearm was used, killing the animal.
"The agents of the Civil Guard and the medical services managed to stabilise her in order to proceed with her transfer to the nearest medical centre."
