Lagi Demetriou was just 12 years old when he shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2009
Lagi Demetriou, who rose to fame as part of the comedic father-son duo Stavros Flatley on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, is now barely recognisable following a dramatic transformation. He and his father Demi captured the nation's heart with their humorous Greek-inspired Lord of the Dance routine, complete with leather trousers and blonde wigs, as reported by OK! magazine.
Since then, Lagi has stepped away from the limelight, moving to Cyprus where he operates a barber shop in Paphos and hosts a podcast named CoolerBox. Now a married father of two, he's happily settled in Cyprus, even boasting a large tattoo of the country across his stomach to match his dad's famous ink revealed during their first Britain's Got Talent audition.
In a frank 2019 interview with MailOnline, Lagi Demetriou revealed that Simon Cowell had advised him against completely giving up his dance career, suggesting he might still perform for special gigs. He revealed: "When we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows."
Nowadays, Lagi's priorities lie with his family life. In a heartfelt proposal, he asked Annika Crawford to marry him on New Year's Eve in 2020, following five years of companionship.
