A “PLAYFUL and loving” lurcher who has spent more than 900 days in an animal shelter waiting to find a home has been dubbed Britain’s loneliest dog.
Sam has been staying at Destitute Animal Shelter in Bolton since February 2017 when his latest owner passed away six months into his adoption. The handsome pooch has found a home with a number of families but due to no fault of his own has found himself back at the Greater Manchester shelter. Speaking of the heartbreaking tale, manager Karen Rickards said: “Sam has been so unlucky, and it's through no fault of his own.
