Ronald Evans, notorious for the rape and murder of Kathleen Heathcote in 1964 and multiple sexual attacks in Bristol, has been denied parole due to his risk of absconding. The decision prevents his possible transfer to an open prison.
Ronald Evans, a convicted rapist and murderer known as the 'Clifton Rapist', has been denied parole and won't be considered for an open prison move. Evans was convicted in 1964 for the sexually motivated murder of Kathleen Heathcote and committed numerous sexual assaults in Bristol in the late 1970s. He was released in 2018 but subsequently sexually assaulted a woman in London in 2022. A Parole Board panel, citing his risk of absconding, refused his release on December 12th.
Evans' case will be reviewed again in November 2025 at the earliest
