A "TROPICAL heat surge" will rescue summer by the Bank Holiday weekend – with temperatures expected to be nudging 30C .
25C is on the cards by the long weekend, with high pressure set to bring subtropical air from the Azores.The Met Office forecast three weeks of mainly warm and dry conditions for many for the last week of August and first half of September. Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst said: “There's an improvement after wet and windy weather, with plenty of sunny spells through the next week and 25C possible by the Bank Holiday weekend.
“High pressure looks like dominating in the last week of August, with mainly settled conditions and the mid-20s possible.”
