Graham Ivan Clark, 17, has been arrested over a Twitter scam that saw famous faces hacked so their accounts could be used to encourage people to send them money after lying any donors would get twice as much back

Graham Ivan Clark, 17, was arrested at his home in Tampa, Florida, around the same time and now faces charges over the hacking scam prosecutors say netted him $100,000. The third suspect is Nima ‘Rolex’ Fazelli, 22, from Orlando in Florida.Announcing the charges against Clark, prosecutor Andrew Warren said: ‘He’s a 17 year-old kid who apparently just graduated high school. But no make no mistake, this was not an ordinary 17-year-old.

Famous Twitter users including former President Barack Obama had their accounts hacked with messages fraudulently promising huge returns to anyone who sent Bitcoin to an online account One fraudulent message issued from presidential nominee Joe Biden’s account said: ‘I am giving back to the community. All Bitcoin sent to the address below will be sent back doubled! If you send $1,000, I will send back $2,000. Only doing this for 30 minutes … Enjoy!’
