The British Musical Fireworks Championship is back in Southport, promising spectacular firework displays synchronized to music. Over two tonnes of explosive material will be used across the event, with teams competing for top honors.
The British Musical Fireworks Championship is returning to Southport as hundreds of people are expected to attend the event in Victoria Park. The British Musical Fireworks Championship is a pyro musical competition where fireworks are launched into the night sky to music with the show choreographed to offer spectacular views of the fireworks. Over two tonnes of explosive material are used throughout the competition with the total weight of fireworks over 10 tonnes.
The first display can be seen at 8pm, the second at 8:30pm and the third at 9pm. The event is perfect for a family night out and hundreds turn out each year. The firework displays vary with unique moods, patterns, colours, effects, timing and overall designs giving spectators plenty to take in. The championships began in 1995 and are the only one of its kind in the UK. It showcases displays from some of the country’s top pyrotechnic teams across three nights.
