Roy, father of deceased British national Callum, expressed deep concern and frustration over the lack of information from local authorities following his son's arrest, detention, and subsequent death in Kuala Lumpur's airport. Callum was initially arrested for alleged mischief and property damage while traveling from the UK to Phuket, Thailand, with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur. During the documentation process, he lost consciousness and later died.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is working with local authorities to assist the family
