BRITISH School Manila hits a milestone in its sustainability journey with the recent inauguration of the first stage of its solar electricity system with the City of Taguig and the Department of Energy .School head Martin van der Linde said the inauguration of the plant marked the first of many planned phases to have full sustainable solar energy coverage across the entire school campus.
The school said it had been collaborating with the DoE on its Energy Efficiency & Conservation Program under a memorandum of understanding in support of Republic Act 11285 or the Energy Efficient and Conservation Act to signal its commitment to the future of its students and the Philippines.Van der Linde said that for almost 50 years, BSM has been a beacon of education and progress, nurturing young minds and shaping the global citizens and leaders of tomorrow.
