Although Britney chose not to share the details of their meeting, it has been reported that their mother, Lynne Spears, recently approached Britney urging her to reconcile with her younger sister. However, the source added, there are some bridges that need to be mended and Britney expects an apology from the Zoey 101 star if they are to move forward. The source revealed: “Britney still feels that Jamie Lynn is the one who messed up and, if they are going to meet, she would need to come to her and not vise versa,” adding: “Lynne is figuring out now how to make this happen, but she is not going to rest until everything is perfect again.
When Jamie Lynn released a memoir in 2022 titled, Things I Should Have Said, Britney accused the 32-year-old of trying to "sell a book at [her] expense" and unfollowed her on Instagram.
