BRITS could be banned from wild camping at beauty spots around the UK after groups have been leaving behind used wet wipes and toilet roll - and even faeces.Brits are being banned from wild camping due to a rise in litter and fly tippingHowever, a rise in wild camping has also been reported particularly across Cornwall and Northumberland.

In Somerset, the Mendip Hills Area has seen the litter left behind by people staying in their vehicles at the car parks, despite being banned.: "We're regularly finding piles of single-use wipes and toilet paper behind bushes near visitor car parks as many of the camper vans we see staying overnight clearly don't have toilets facilities in them. This creates a real hazard for wildlife and other people.

They posted on social media, accompanied by pictures of litter, abandoned tents and fly tipping: "Sadly due to continued illegal camping taking place and items being left behind for our staff to gather up, damage to habitats etc, we are unable for the remainder of 2020 to allow any form of wild camping.
