Brits get six month MOT-holiday for cars, vans and motorbikes during coronavirus epidemic

Vehicles must be kept in a roadworthy condition, and garages will remain open for any essential repair work.And the Government stressed that no one should be leaving their house unless they absolutely have to. “Allowing this temporary exemption from vehicle testing will enable vital services such as deliveries to continue, frontline workers to get to work, and people get essential food and medicine.This measure could be extended if the shutdown is extended.Lorries, buses and trailers are entitled to a three-month MOT holiday, it was revealed too.
Cabinet Minister Michael Gove said: “Garages can remain open. And that’s both for essential maintenance of cars to make them safe on the road, and providing petrol.”
