Hmm, attractive What do you think aliens look like? Well, an artist’s impression shows what most Brits imagine – and they have two heads, gills and the ability to change colour. Researchers asked 2,000 people to describe what they think an extraterrestrial looks like and found they are typically five feet tall with webbed feet and green tufts of hair. They found that four in ten people reckon aliens would converse in their own language and 22% believe they would have 360-degree vision.
’ The research also found that three is the magic number, with many adults believing aliens would have three eyes, arms and ears – although 17% think the ears would not be visible. Despite having gills, those surveyed think they will also have a nose to breathe in and out of water. But similarities to a human include walking in the same way and having an oval-shaped head . In terms of traits, many believe aliens would be able to read people’s minds , teleport and speak all languages .
