Brits are being urged to check if they could bag a £150 payment from the Department for Work and Pensions . Millions of households across the UK could benefit from the Warm Home Discount scheme, which provides a £150 credit on electricity bills for eligible low-income families and Pension Credit recipients.
A spokesperson for Your NRG said: "The scheme provides a £150 credit on electricity bills to those on low incomes or receiving Pension Credit, offering much-needed relief during the colder months. Importantly, this money is paid directly to the energy provider, not to the individual, ensuring the credit goes towards reducing energy costs."
"If your supplier provides both gas and electricity, you may even be able to apply the £150 to your gas bill instead – just check with them once the scheme is live. For those using Pay As You Go or Prepayment meters, the support will come as a voucher that can be used to top up your meter.
