The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has shared advice
UK residents have been advised to draw their curtains and blinds to keep their homes cool as the warm weather continues. The government has issued crucial advice on coping with the heatwave, offering key strategies to prevent overheating indoors.
To reduce the affect of this, it's suggested to shut the curtains while keeping windows ajar for air circulation. The current heatwave is expected to persist until Saturday, when it's anticipated that a sudden deluge of rain will provide respite in the form of widespread rain showers, reports the Mirror.
It's important to drink plenty of water, limit alcohol consumption and check on friends who may struggle with the heat, if susceptible to the effects of high temperatures.
