Denver Broncos President Damani Leech, left, Greg Penner, owner and Chief Executive Officer, center, and Denver Broncos owner Carrie Walton-Penner stand on the side lines at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Sept. 10, 2023. The Broncos took on divisional opponents the Las Vegas Raiders to start the 2023 NFL regular season.
Leech said it was exciting and also a “relief” to have the process finished. He’s been asked consistently about the possibility of revamped uniforms almost since the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group took control of the team in August 2022. “They take you through a design vision process,” he said. “What’s important to you? What are you trying to accomplish? On a scale of 1-10, how much change are you looking for? A bunch of different things and then you start iterating and iterating and iterating.”
“It’s been a great process across the organization,” Leech said. “Staff, ownership — particularly Carrie has really driven this process. Player involvement, fan involvement and we’re really excited to move in this direction.”
