The actress celebrated her 59th birthday on Friday, and she has since opened up about the changes she felt were happening in her life as she approached her sixth decade.
Shields went on to admit that she, as well as her husband Chris Henchy, were set to become 'empty nesters' after their daughter Grier, 18, leaves for college this fall. The actress also stated that she had since learned to embrace her drive and desire for success in her later years. 'It's almost not personal. Whereas I used to feel compelled to say"yes" to everybody, just running myself ragged,' she said.
