The Cleveland Browns have officially released a former Super Bowl champion who recently suffered a calf injury.

In 2019, Allen was named the starting center when John Sullivan left the Rams. Allen would start nine games before landing on IR with an MCL injury in Week 10.In the 2020 season, Allen was the first player in the NFL to test positive for COVID-19, and would ultimately miss the entire season due to injury. However, he would have a strong rebound season in 2021.Allen started in 16 out of 17 games in 2021 and helped the Rams in their run to the Super Bowl.
