Lawyers for Lisa Wilkinson unsuccessfully argued against delaying the case.
The Federal Court has set an indicative timeline for Bruce Lehrmann 's appeal against the result of his failed defamation case to be heard.
The Federal Court set the indicative timeline to allow an "unnamed" senior counsel to be briefed to act for Mr Lehrmann, despite the objections of lawyers for journalist Lisa Wilkinson. The Federal Court found, on the balance of probabilities, the former Liberal Party staffer did rape his then-colleague in the Parliament House office of Senator Linda Reynolds, though he has consistently denied the allegation.'Unnamed' senior counsel to act for Mr Lehrmann
"He wishes to remain unnamed just on the basis he doesn't wish to be trolled or harassed, for example, as I've experienced," Ms Burrows said."I simply do not have counsel if we have a hearing in March, and it's going to be a situation where I as a sole practitioner am going to have to do it myself."
