Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will play two nights in Liverpool next year
Bruce Springsteen will fulfil a lifelong dream next summer when he performs at Liverpool FC's Anfield stadium. The New Jersey-born singer-songwriter will play two nights at the home of the Reds in June as part of his 2025 European tour. It will be the first time that 'the Boss' will visit Merseyside and he has already spoken about his excitement for the forthcoming gigs.
The 75-year-old was a teenager when John, Paul, George and Ringo arrived in the United States and Beatlemania swept the country. The band's performance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 was a cultural watershed moment watched by more than 73m people, cementing The Beatles as a force in the States. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2020, Bruce explained the impact that The Beatles had on his life. He said: ''I Want To Hold Your Hand' came on the radio in 1964.
