The COA report, released on Thursday, showed BSP Governor Eli Remolona topping the list of highest paid non-elected government official in 2023 with salaries and allowances amounting to P35,478,813.42.Remolona was followed by his predecessor, Felipe Medalla, who received P25 million in salaries and allowances in 2023.
Among Supreme Court Justices, Senior Associate Justice Benjamin Caguioa posted the highest earnings at P19.6 million , followed by Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo at P16.3 million , and Associate Justice Antonio Kho at P16.08 million .Other justices of the high court who earned P12 million and above last yer include: Ramon Hernando with P13.1 million , Amy Javier with 12.6 million , Henri Inting with 12.5 million , Marvic Leonen with P12.4 million and Rodil Zalameda with P12.1 million .
