Billy Lee, Levi Lee, Samuel Sheady-Jones, and Ashley Byford, have been locked up.
A gang responsible for stealing almost £1m worth of BT Openreach network cable have been jailed for combined total of 14 years. Billy Lee Junior, 24, Levi Lee, 22, Samuel Sheady-Jones, 23, and Ashley Byford, 26, targeted cable and plant material in rural locations.
As a result, thousands of customers lost service, including homes and businesses with a loss to BT and other victims standing at more than £750,000. Another £10k in cash was found in the same caravan whilst £4k was located in a box in nearby dog kennels. Officers also found a winch and wire cutters, a Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 and a Makita drill.

Samuel Sheady-Jones, of Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, was sentenced to three years and seven months in prison. Ashley Byford, of Chelmsford, Essex, admitted to counts of conspiring to steal and was sentenced to 16 months in prison.
