Budding civil engineers can now apply for a new DfI Skills Academy

Job interviews will be offered to those who complete the Skills Academy successfully

The Skills Academy will provide an introduction to civil engineering and a pathway to the skills and knowledge for a civil service career in surveying, construction, traffic management, health and safety.

Participants may be eligible to be reimbursed for appropriate travel costs and entitled to financial assistance with childcare costs, depending on their circumstances.Those who successfully complete the Skills Academy will be offered the opportunity of an interview for a permanent role as a Trainee Civil Engineering Assistant in the Department for Infrastructure with a salary of £23,177 per annum.
