The Labour Chancellor has announced the 'largest real-terms funding settlement' for devolved governments in 25 years.
Rachel Reeves has challenged the SNP to deliver "effective" public services after she handed the Scottish Government a £3.4 billion boost today. The Labour Chancellor used her first Budget statement to announce the "largest real-terms funding settlement" for devolved governments in 25 years.
The Chancellor announced the Scottish Government will be provided with a £47.7 billion settlement in 2025/26 – the largest in real terms in the history of devolution. What the Budget means for you “It is the largest budget settlement for the Scottish Government in the history of devolution, including an additional £1.5billion this financial year and an additional £3.4billion next year through the Barnett formula. That money must reach frontline services, to bring down NHS waiting lists and lift attainment in our schools.
