The cast of Buffy season 2 in a group photo
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT New art imagines what the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer would look like in Disney's familiar animation style. Ever since Buffy's finale in 2003, different reboot opinions have popped up. Although the most recent potential live-action revival has stalled, the show's legion of devotees has kept its memory thriving in a myriad of ways — including fanart.
The post features all of the original main actors from season 1, in addition to Buffy's mom Joyce. It also features later characters, such as Riley, Tara, Anya, and a strangely cheerful Faith. But while those are fairly convincing, Angel's spiky locks are nowhere to be found and Spike's signature slicked-back bleached hair look is also slightly off.
Most of the Buffy cast from the early seasons signed on to reprise their characters, including Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, and Anthony Stewart Head. Gellar was not interested in reprising the lead role at the time, and so Buffy was voiced by Giselle Loren, who had previously voiced Buffy for the video games. Several of Buffy's writers, including Jane Espenson, Doug Petrie, and Whedon, wrote scripts for the animated series.
