Buildings and Food is holding a block party at Taste of Tremont. Here’s the details.
Greater Cleveland Food BankWesley Bright and the Honeytones - with an expanded horn section – are coming out of retirement. Other bands include neo-funk outfit Nathan-Paul & The Admirables, TK’s Soul Collective, DJ NicNacc and Erie Street Vinyl.
For food and drink, all of Buildings and Food’s brands will be represented: Eastern European fare from Prosperity Social Club, grilled burgers and frozen treats from Good Company, beer from Old 86, wine and crudite from La Cave du Vin, cocktails from the Spotted Owl and cold coffee drinks from Peristyle Coffee.
Taste of Tremont showcases the neighborhood’s food, art and entertainment. The concert stage will be at Jefferson Avenue at West 7th Street. Organizers said the street’s gradual slope creates an amphitheater-type atmosphere.. Day-of sales will be at Jefferson and Thurman avenues. A VIP wristband for $400 includes access to La Cave du Vin’s courtyard with exclusive food and wine and private view of the stage.
Buildings and Food’s Will Hollingsworth has said repeatedly he likes being part of the community where his restaurants and bars are located. He previously sat on a neighborhood board in Akron where Spotted Owl is located. “Buildings and Food has three big goals for 2024, and one of them is to develop a big annual fundraiser for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank,” Hollingsworth said in a press release. “That’s how this whole thing started. I lived on the corner of Professor and Jefferson for ten years, and that corner was always Rocco’s party.
