Health Minister Mark Butler says bulk billing has been under pressure over recent years.
“About two-thirds of Australians are still getting bulk bill service, but about a third of Australians are paying gap fees,” Mr Butler said during a media conference on Monday.
“And that one-third of Australians – a group that frankly appears to be growing and growing relatively quickly – are paying higher and higher gap fees because of that financial pressure on general practicing particular.Read More
