Dominic Ball, Tracy Seddon and Aaron Blundell were sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court
A drugs gang based in Bury were rumbled after Border Force officers seized £2 million worth of cannabis bound for a garage.
The court heard that on May 25 last year, a parcel was seized at the East Midlands Airport by UK Border Force staff. In total, eight heavy duty plastic tool boxes were seized, within them were 155 sealed packages containing 70kg of cannabis. “A wealth of evidence implicated the defendants in a wider conspiracy to supply cannabis in Bury, Bolton and Manchester between August 2022 and June 2023,” prosecutor Helena Williams said.
Tracy Seddon operated the drugs line between May and June 2023. Messages showed that she was in contact with others who would go out and deliver the drugs or collect the cash on behalf of the group.Following the seizure of the drugs at the airport, search warrants were carried out at the defendants’ addresses.
And at Blundell’s address, police found scales containing white powder, and two mobile phones. Messages recovered from Blundell’s phone showed various discussions with Scott about orders, deliveries and amounts.
