Dionisio Abude, chief of the Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office , discloses that although there is no public utility jeepney strike in Davao City, bus units are ready to cater to stranded passengers in case a strike will happen. LEAN DAVAL JR.

Several transport groups have announced that they would stage a weeklong strike starting March 6, to protest the impending jeepney phaseout in the government’s implementation of the public utility vehicle modernization plan. Abude said there are more than 20 buses readied in case the PUJs decided to join the one week strike.
