Holidaymakers could not contain their excitement at the news
Holidaymakers have expressed their excitement at Butlin's interest in buying an abandoned Pontins holiday camp.
If Butlin's were to acquire the site, Mr Pickup said it would most likely flatten what is there now, meaning it would be a longer-term investment. Hundreds of people reacted to the news which they said would be fantastic for Merseyside and the rest of the North West. Joyce Morton said: "Hope it’s successful, it would be great for the North West." Barbara Williams said: "That would be amazing. I hope they do and do soul/Motown adult weekends - I've been to loads in Skegness."
