Iowa is leaning hard into its tight ends. Through three quarters, the Hawkeyes used at least two tight ends on all but 11 offensive snaps. On Iowa’s second and third touchdowns, the Hawkeyes lined up with a four-tight-end formation withshowed up big time for Iowa. Three weeks removed from a quad injury, McNamara was listed as questionable entering the game. He hung in and took plenty of hits but delivered some nice balls in the clutch.
