A lovely place to enjoy some food
With the sun making more appearances, that still won’t stop many of us from popping the kettle on and what’s better than a cup of tea? A cup of tea with a view - and we know what much-loved park you can go to to walk around in the sun with a cuppa, coffee or something cool as Keimae Blake reports…
The Arboretum Cafe on Waverley Street was packed when I arrived. Staff rushed around and customers waited, patiently, to be seated. Queuing up to place my order, the staff deserved a medal; not only was the cafe packed, there were only two members of staff working! I ordered a sausage and bacon cob with hash browns - but they had run out of cobs which is fine, you should all know by now that I’m not fussy when it comes to food!
Paying just £7.40 for a breakfast sandwich and a mocha, I sat down and read a bit of my book. If I had come to the cafe at lunch time, I think I would have ordered a cheesy jacket potato with salad and had one of the freshly baked cakes to takeaway.
