It's reported Celtic enquired about Kelleher's availability during the summer but were told no in no uncertain terms.
Celtic reportedly want Liverpool keeper Caiomhin Kelleher as their long-term successor to Joe Hart - and even made tentative efforts to sign him in the summer.
But signing a new keeper for the long-term appears a priority of Rodgers' moving into January and the Scottish Sun say Kelleher is the main they want. The Ireland shotstopper is No.2 to Alisson Becker at Anfield but at 24, he's been limited to just 20 appearances since his debut all the way back in February 2020.
It's claimed Kelleher wanted a move to another Premier League team in the summer with a view to senior minutes but Liverpool refuted all advances. Jurgen Klopp was on record as saying it would have taken an extraordinary offer to let him go.
