World news: California sees second 'horrific' mass shooting just days after 11 were killed
The US state of California has experienced its second mass shooting in days which has seen seven killed.
It comes just three days after the state experienced a mass shooting which resulted in the death of 11 victims. California governor Gavin Newsom posted on social media that he was at a hospital meeting with victims of the prior shooting when he was informed of the second incident. "This kind of shooting is horrific," said San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus. "t's a tragedy we hear about far too often, but today it's hit home here in San Mateo County.The latest mass shooting in the state took place across two farms around the local community of Half Moon Bay. Four victims of the attack were found at a mushroom farm while three others were found at a nearby trucking business.
Once the killings were carried out, suspect Chunli drove to a sheriff's office substation where he was promptly pinned to the ground and arrested by officers. He reportedly had a semi-automatic pistol which may have been used to carry out the attack.
