Hundreds of people in the greater Pollok and Calton areas have put forward ideas on how to spend £1 million to improve each neighbourhood.There were 600 suggestions in Greater Pollok with 502 people taking part while there were 160 possibilities put forward in Calton as 137 residents gave their views . People can now vote on a selection of ideas that can be progressed.
The types of schemes getting investment include improving open spaces, road safety, street lighting, street furniture, pavements, traffic signals, road conditions and drainage systems. “We asked what you wanted, we listened and now we will deliver on our promises for citizens to be at the heart of everything we do.
People have until October 13 to vote online or in person. More information is available at https://cciglasgow.org/Pollok/ for Greater Pollok and https://cciglasgow.org/Calton/ for Calton.
