A motion at the Scottish Greens conference – brought forward by a representative from Scottish Young Greens – to call on the extension of universal free school meals, passed overwhelmingly at 92%.The motion called on the Scottish Government to “act immediately” to introduce free school meals, without means-testing, to both primary and secondary school students during term time, as well as the extension of free school meals to all pupils universally, rather than based on means-testing.
