Voter disinterest and confusion are threatening to create an uninformed outcome on the Voice referendum, researchers warn.

"That would be a sad state of affairs if people were voting no because they didn't understand what the referendum was about," she said. "It must get [more than a 50 per cent majority] nationwide, which it may do, as well as a majority vote in four out of the six states, which it may fail at," he said.
